Chiado has arrived!
Chiado is live and will be merged on 4 Nov, Fri at 15:00 UTC.
Chiado is optimized for testnet stability for developers, and has a semi-permissioned validator set similar to Ethereum’s Sepolia
Chiado is not intended for broad public validator participation, as frequent cycling of validators affects Testnet stability and make it unreliable for developers
Chiado has 6,000 validators in the permissioned set, run by core contributor teams at Nethermind, Gateway and Gnosis
In the future, 1,000 validators (14% of network) will be opened up to the community by staking 1 Testnet GNO Public Participation
The community is still encouraged to run a full node and go through the Chiado merge - Nethermind Sedge autogenerates Docker files for a full Chiado validator (highly recommended)
