Welcome to our monthly update for the Gnosis Chain validator community. This recap aims to inform you about the latest developments and updates on the Gnosis Chain.
Erigon 3 + Caplin on Gnosis Chain
With the next-generation archive node Erigon 3 and the archive format Caplin, Gnosis Chain Execution client requirements are significantly reduced. As can be seen in Giuilo’s tweet, it's possible to run the Erigon client with approximately 84 GB, which is highly resource-efficient.
Read Erigon 3 and Caplin's details here.
Validator Meetup with Erigon
Join us at Gnosis Validator Meetup #22 with Erigon! In this call, we'll talk about Erigon 3, Caplin, impact of the EIP-4444, along with ongoing developments and upcoming upgrades on Gnosis Chain.

Gnosis Chain Pectra Upgrade Specification
We are preparing for Pectra hard fork, and our core developers have released Pectra upgrade specifications on GitHub.
With EIP 7251 implementation, the maximum effective balance will increase from 1 GNO to 64 GNO per validator.
We’ll share more details about the included EIPs, specifications, and comprehensive guidelines for validator/node operators before the hard fork timeline as usual.
Node Bridge’s validator is live on Gnosis Chain
Gnosis Chain derives its strength and resilience from node operators geographically distributed across the world. The Africa-based Node Bridge community contributes to our network by activating their Gnosis Chain validator! We thank them and appreciate their contributions.
Geth on the Gnosis Chain
We have completed a full Geth synchronization and rebased the codebase to Geth version 1.14.12, creating a clean pull request that demonstrates successful block production and chain following on the Chiado network. A full resynchronization test is planned with these latest updates. Additionally, we've implemented system call tracing functionality and performed comprehensive code cleanup by removing temporary implementations.
Check PR here: https://github.com/gnosischain/go-ethereum/pull/7
Next step: Launch Geth client for public usage!
Validating Gnosis Chain using RISC-V Boards
Our OG node operators Haurog and Aavegotch1 delivered a presentation at Devcon titled "Staking on Power Efficient and Low-Cost Hardware: From ARM64 to RISC-V Boards." They shared detailed insights about their tests conducted on Chiado using RISC-V boards and presented fascinating details about the future use of RISC-V boards.
As Gnosis, we support hardware diversity and this exemplary community effort!
